There is a due season coming for every believer who doesn’t quit! Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us, “To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” In nature we see the four seasons: spring, summer, fall and winter; each with a different purpose. For crop farmers, there are times to sow seed, times to water and nurture, and times to reap a harvest. Galatians 6:9 tells us, “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season  we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.” In that due season, that perfect time of God, incredible and even impossible things begin to happen!

The Greek word for season or time in Galatians 6:9 is kairos. The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos and kairos. While the former refers to chronological or sequential time, the latter signifies a time in between; a moment of indeterminate time in which something special happens.

When Jesus came to the earth, He preached “The time has come”  “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15) The time Jesus referred to is kairos time. He was not talking about an ordinary measure of time, He was talking about a special season that had arrived on the earth, God’s kairos season.

In God’s kairos time, special, even impossible things begin to happen. We know that as Jesus began to declare these things, the sick were healed, the lame walked, the dead were raised, the blind received sight and the multitudes were fed supernaturally. When it’s God’s kairos moment, the impossible becomes possible!

Sometimes as our lives unfold in chronos terms we wonder, ‘What is God up to? When will He fulfill the things He has promised concerning my life?’ My friend, I want to encourage you today. God’s kairos time, may not fit in with our concept of time, but when it arrives, everything changes! As we continue to labor in the field; sowing, planting watering; sometimes we wonder, ‘When will the harvest come?’ We grow weary in well doing; sometimes so weary we feel like we can’t take another step.

I believe there are some of you who are about to walk into a place where the impossible becomes possible. When the time of God’s due season arrives, it’s harvest time! Everything you have labored for suddenly begins to bear fruit! Jesus’ life and ministry were the combination of thousands of years of prophecy manifested. He came to the world at God’s kairos time and fulfilled every prophetic word. In God’s kairos time even death could not hold him in the grave.

God does not forget a single promise; He does not overlook a single act of obedience or well-doing. Many times, we want the manifestation of God’s promise in chronos terms; we get frustrated when we don’t see the results we want to see when we expect to see them. I want to encourage you to hang in there for the time of God’s due season to arrive.

In God’s due season for you, things which may not have worked before all of sudden begin to work! God’s promises begin to manifest and before you know it, you’re walking into your promised land! We need to learn how to walk in God’s perfect will; we also need to understand how to wait on His perfect time!
