Today I want to encourage you to keep trusting God! Life is full of challenges and dilemmas; things can happen which cause us to wonder where God is. Due to the extremity of our circumstances, we can sometimes feel as though we have lost our faith and trust in God. Today I want to encourage you to follow the example of Jesus who trusted God right to the very end. It’s when we trust God in the toughest times we see the most incredible breakthroughs take place.

The great healing Evangelist, Smith Wigglesworth said, “I would rather die trusting God than live in unbelief.” Smith Wigglesworth understood the incredible power of trusting God. He knew it’s better to die than live in unbelief. He knew that in trusting God through difficult situations, even when faced with death, God’s supernatural, miracle working power can be released.

That is exactly what Jesus did! He had heard His Divine Commission from God and knew He would bring salvation to humanity through the Cross. He knew He had to go to the Cross. Matthew 16:21 tells us “From that time on Jesus began to explain to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”

Jesus had to trust His very life into the hands of God. He went to the Cross willingly, trusting that God would raise Him to life. When Jesus was on the cross, the people mocked Him and cried out saying, “He trusted God, so let God rescue him now if He wants Him! For He said, ‘I am the Son of God.'” (Matthew 27:43) Jesus chose to die trusting God rather than live in unbelief and break His connection and relationship with His heavenly Father.

These people mocked Jesus for trusting God and yet three days later, He rose from the dead. It’s never a mistake to trust God. No matter how tough things get or even if others mock you for trusting God, just keep trusting. When we trust God in those most intense, difficult, tough moments, something powerful happens. Not only are we brought to a place of peace, but that trust is also our lifeline to the breakthrough power of God.

As soon as we begin to get anxious, doubt God or wonder whether He is still in control, we lose that connection. If we doubt His Sovereignty or His integrity, we begin to move out of a place of faith. God moves in an atmosphere of faith. During this time there was a terrible demonic storm in process to get Jesus to give up His faith in God. All of hell was at work to break that connection. And yet Jesus persevered in His trust!

Today, as believers, the enemy is at work to break your connection. If the enemy can get you to stop trusting God, He has succeeded. But if you continue to trust God in spite of all the pressure you face, God has the ability to come through for you. Sometimes circumstances can cause us to believe everything is over and there is no hope, but if you continue on with your trust in God, there is always hope.

When Jesus died and was buried it looked hopeless, but Jesus had heard from God, He had trusted the integrity and faithfulness of His heavenly Father and the incredible miracle of the resurrection took place. We serve a God of resurrection power. Nothing is too difficult for God to fix.

Today, things may look hopeless for you. I want to encourage you to keep trusting God. It can be incredibly difficult to trust God in the hard times, and I don’t want to trivialize what you may be experiencing, with some trite solution or formula, but I do know this…your trust in God can release God’s ability to turn any situation around.

Don’t allow the enemy to rob you of the priceless gift of your faith and trust in God. I remember once ministering to a homeless man who was a new believer. I told him to keep trusting God and he told me that his faith was everything to him; it was the most precious thing in the whole world. That homeless man understood just how precious his faith really was.

Matthew 16:21 says “To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours” Today I want to encourage you that your faith is the most precious thing in the whole world. You need your faith and trust in God and more than ever before. Don’t allow anyone to rob or discredit your trust in Almighty God! Keep trusting God!
