Today I want to encourage you with the thought that God does not change. Malachi 3:6a says “I am the Lord, I change not.” Hebrews 13:8 tells us “Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.” Jesus power has not diminished, the miracles He did in His earthly ministry, He is will do for you today. It’s as we place our faith in His faithfulness, His unchanging nature, that our faith connects with His miracle working power.

Wherever Jesus went he brought relief the the afflicted. When he commenced his ministry, he read from Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:19-20)

Mark 6:56 tells us “And wherever he went – into villages, towns or countryside – they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.” The woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of his garment and “immediately her bleeding stopped.” (Luke 8:44b)

After this miracle happened, Jesus said “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” (Luke 8:46) The power that brought immediate healing to the woman with the issue of blood has not changed. Today Jesus’ power has not changed.  The power that cleansed lepers, opened blind eyes, made the lame walk, has not diminished. It is just as powerful today as it was then!

All over the world, as we have travelled preaching the gospel, we have seen Jesus open blind eyes, unstop deaf ears, heal the mute, the lame and all kind of sickness and disease. Jesus heals broken hearts and restores broken lives, saves the lost and brings deliverance to the oppressed. Jesus is the same in the past, He is the same today, and He will be the same in the future. He does not change.

Today I want to encourage you to put your faith in Jesus afresh. He will do for you what no one else can do. Release your faith to Him; reach out by faith and touch the hem of His garment. What He has done for others, He will do for you.

Jesus cares about you and what you are going through. Matthew 14:14 tells us “When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed their sick.” He knows what you are going through. The compassion He had for those precious people, He has for you today. He has not changed!

I believe that as we begin to understand this timeless truth, we will see the miracles of God begin to manifest in our lives. Allow this truth to sink deep into your spirit and spend time meditating on it until it becomes part of your life. Jesus is unchanging. As a believer, He lives on the inside of you. Allow Him to fill your life with fresh faith and miracle working power today.

Jesus is consistent. He doesn’t change on a whim or with the passage of time. There are Christians who feel and believe that the age of miracles has passed, that God no longer does miracles in human lives. Our secular western culture is permeated with empiricism; if it can’t be measured and observed it cannot exist.

It’s not always easy to believe God in a culture of unbelief. But I believe Jesus is looking for faith from us. When He was teaching on prayer, He said “And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:7-8)

In His teaching on prayer, Jesus was challenging the faith of the hearer to believe that God would answer their prayers. He would always challenge His disciples and say “O you of little faith.” And when He returns, He is looking for faith from you and me. He knew the world would become increasingly faithless and increasingly wicked; yet He expects us, as believers, to be the ones who rise above it all and dare to believe Him anyway.

Today I want to encourage you, maybe you have been affected by the mindset of the world, or of those who believe the age of miracles is past. I encourage you to believe; Jesus is looking for faith on the earth. Faith is the currency of heaven and it releases all the potential and power of God to bring transformation and change to this world.

Faith is the most precious commodity. 2 Peter 1:1 tells us “Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours.” Today, you have faith as precious as Peter and all the other disciples.

Your faith in Jesus is no different to their faith. Jesus has not changed since Peter wrote these awesome words. He is looking for you to believe today in His unchanging power, compassion and ability to bring change to your life, and transformation to a world in need of hope.

I am believing  for God to visit you and release the boldness of faith; a fresh gift of faith in the unchanging Christ. The great Evangelist, Oral Roberts used to sing the song, “Something good is going to happen today, Jesus of Nazereth is coming your way.” Jesus said all things are possible to the one who believes in Him and today, as you continue to believe in Him, I believe miracles are coming your way.
