As we have traveled throughout the United States and the nations of the world, God has placed a mandate on this ministry to preach a message about the transforming power of the fire of the Holy Spirit. And many of us know the Holy Spirit comes in many ways, in Acts Chapter 2 he came like a mighty rushing wind, and a flame of fire. And today I am believing God the Holy Spirit will come to you in that same way and change your life forever!

God came to the great Prophet Moses like a fire. Moses had been a prince in Egypt and had spent forty years herding sheep in the desert. He was a broken man. Sometimes God shows up when we are broken and don’t depend on our own strength or ability to get things done.

And God heard the cries of His people and came down to earth like fire to begin to prepare a person to deliver His people from oppression. Exodus 3: 1-3 tells us “Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight–why the bush does not burn up.

Now this angel of the Lord was no ordinary angel, I believe this angel was the same as the fourth man who showed up with Daniel and his friends in the firey furnace (Daniel 3:25). I believe this angel was the pre- incarnate manifestation of Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity!

Ultimately this fire pointed to Christ who would come to deliver not just a nation from bondage, but to deliver all of humanity from bondage and oppression! And of course God began to speak to Moses out of the fire, and give him instructions for how he was to bring deliverance to God’s people.

But I have to believe that as Moses stood before God’s manifest tangible firey presence, that a transformation was taking place in his life. We all know the saying, ‘don’t play with fire, you will get burned.’ Fire has that catchy aspect to it. It spreads and grows, and I believe in a spiritual sense, God was setting Moses on fire!

And Moses went out to confront the greatest political and ultimately spiritual powers of the day and as he did, some of the greatest miracles recorded in the Bible and in history began to take place. An entire nation was delivered from bondage, slavery and oppression, because one man had an encounter with the fire of God.

Today, maybe you are in a situation of need so desperate and you have cried out to God for deliverance and you have lost hope, I am believing for an encounter with the fire of God for you. Maybe you are stuck in a job you hate, or an illness for which this is no human cure, I am believing or an encounter for the fire of God for you. Maybe you feel lost and separated from God and don’t feel like you have a vital relationship with Him, I am believing for an encounter with the fire of God for you!

God is wanting to come to you like fire, to deliver you from oppression, but not just that, He is wanting to so transform your life that as you go about your business, you begin to see others changed, transformed, set free and delivered. That you will go from a defensive to an offensive position, from a place of bondage to a place of freedom, from a place of complacency to a place of fervency, from a place of timidity to a place of boldness!

And wherever Jesus went the demons cried out, I believe they were feeling the heat!  They were saying ‘leave us alone!’ And God is wanting you to have the same effects on a world in slavery and bondage to forces of darkness. Jesus the Bible tells us, stands in the midst of the fire and has fire in His eyes (Rev 1:14).

Today I am believing that you will so encounter this firey Jesus, this flame of fire that you will never be the same again! That you will transformed to become an agent of deliverance to a world that is desperately in need of freedom!
